Dicen que André Breton dijo que no hay lugar más surrealista que México. Y yo creo que no hay más surrealismo que el puro acontecer de una realidad que genera dudas sobre la naturaleza de la realidad; como cuando en la Ciudad de México me tropecé con Peter Greenaway, apurado hacia una conferencia pero absorto en la fruición de un helado de vainilla.
They say André Breton said that there is no place more surreal than Mexico. And I believe that there is no more surrealism than the pure happening of a reality that generates doubts about the nature of reality; like when in Mexico City I stumbled upon Peter Greenaway, rushed to a conference but absorbed in the fruition of a vanilla ice cream.
